Brain bank. Human brain held inside a room in a brain bank. This storage facility holds about 700 cartons of brain tissue. The donated brains of individuals with brain disease and neurodegenerative disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease, have been preserved here for research into these disorders. The bank also stores normal brain tissue to compare with the abnormal brain samples.
