Zoom is a free tool not purchased or formally supported by VMI. However, Zoom is providing free conferencing tools during the Corona Virus pandemic. It is very easy and reliable for synchronous and asynchronous video.
Go to Zoom.com and create an account using your VMI email address. From home, download their software and at work, you can use their web platform. When you login on their web platform, you will use the join, schedule, and host features on the top-right hand corner. Basics: 1. Create an account 2. Use web platform or download software 3. Schedule your meeting 4. Send an invitation to cadets 5. Start your meeting. 6. Record your meeting. When cadets join your meeting, they will download the Zoom app or use their web browser. They can do this on computers, laptops, and/or mobile devices.

Open the chat box so cadets can chat comments and questions during your synchronous lecture
Create breakout rooms for cadets during synchronous sessions.
Share your your screen (for PowerPoints, etc. or make/share a whiteboard
