Start with what you know and expect about good writing from our readings in WAW—look back at your very first discussion board on ‘Community of Writers’. To collect more pertinent information from your chosen discipline on what effective writers know and experience, you’ll want to explore some secondary texts on writing ‘best practices’, as well as talk to professors or upperclassmen studying that field. You will need to conduct the following primary and secondary research to incorporate in your portrait.
