- the history of the problem.
- discuss how the problem affects cadets.
- look at how other universities or institutions have resolved the problem.
- explain why the beneficial consequences of your proposed solution outweigh whatever costs it might entail.
Steps to prepare for writing (pertaining to research):
- Research the history of the problem. Why does it exist? Did it come about as the result of trying to solve a different issue? How long has it been a problem? Have other solutions been proposed for this problem? If so, what happened?
- Research what other universities or institutions (perhaps other service academies) have done to address this problem.
