CE 447W: Civil Engineering Design

Over the course of the semester, you will be tasked with writing:

• One 10 page term paper on a civil engineering theme.
  • Choose from the sub disciplines of structures, materials, environmental, water resources, transportation, geotechnical, or construction.
  • You will need 20 citations from peer-reviewed technical journals.

Use the tabs on the left to find relevant scholarly journal articles and current news. Use Preston Library's website and resources to avoid paywalls for articles.

Caveat: In addition to your 20 peer reviewed journal articles, you may include: statistical sources, government websites, news articles, etc. However, these are in addition to, not instead of, your required 20 peer reviewed journal articles!
