Use the tabs on the left-hand side to find information on:

  • Digital Reserves (Links, PDF, DOC, PPT, & image files) that can be placed on our e-reserves page or embedded into your Canvas courses.

  • Physical Reserves include books, dvds, articles, and other physical materials.

  • Copyright Policies that outline and explain your legal obligations when considering whether or not to place items on reserve.

Physical Course Reserves

Physical reserves include books, magazines, dvds, microfiche/film, newspapers, and other physical materials.

For any course reserves questions, contact Ms. Homicz @ 540-464-7248,, or

Please include the following information in your message:

  • Your name
  • The course number (ex. EN 101)
  • The item(s) you'd like on reserve with as much information as necessary (you may also attach a digital file to your email).
  • The duration of the course (ex. Spring 2015)
  • The date your students need the material
  • When you expect to use the materials again
    • All items on reserve will be removed at the end of each semester unless otherwise indicated by you.
