Wireless Printing Setup for Windows OS

*You MUST connect to VMI-Sentinel or eduroam secure wifi to print*
Cadets and Rats: If you have difficulties connecting,
you need to visit the Barracks IT Helpdesk or call 540-464-7888.

To install the new FindMe -- Cadets (Mobility Print) app on your laptop for wireless printing:

1.    Connect to the VMI-Sentinel wifi network using your PostView username and password, OR the eduroam wifi network using your full VMI email address and password.
 

2.    Open Microsoft Edge browser on your personal device. (Chrome browser has not been working for this process.)
 

3.    Go to this URL in the Microsoft Edge browser to download the setup file:

Click the Windows link to download the setup file.
 

4.    Open and run the setup file. You might need to check or uncheck printer options (e.g., AFROTC) in the installation dialog box. Make sure that the FindMe – Cadets option is the only one checked.
 

5.    After you complete the installation and click Finish, the FindMe -- Cadets print cloud should now show up on your device as a normal Windows system printer.
 

6.    To print a document, select FindMe – Cadets as your printer, choose your document settings (e.g., single-sided printing), and click Print.
 

7.    Go to one of the printers in the Learning Commons area on the 5th floor and wave your VMI ID card over the black card reader mounted on the machine to log into it.
 

8.    Once you’re logged in to the printer, touch Print Release. Your print job(s) should show up onscreen.
 

9.    Touch the gray arrow next to the job(s) you want to print, then touch Print. The job(s) should print out on that printer.
 

10.    Once you have the FindMe – Cadets installation working, you can go to any public printer in Preston Library to print out your job(s).
